Document Search App

Developed document search app. We have developed this app as app part. This app part is having app part properties to list out all the document libraries from the site where this app part is presents.

The user can select the document library from this properties and app part will show all the documents form that document library.

Along with showing documents, we have also implmented the search box from where the user can select the documents and also have provided the alphabets from A-Z which helps the user to search the document based on the starting character of the document.

This app is having three versions i.e free, trial and paid. The paid version is having facilities of selecting the document library from cross site collection and document search box

My Task Manager App

We have developed the task manager app as app part and mainly for SharePoint hosted environment. This app part is used to show all the pending tasks of the logged in user in a grid fashion.

The user can open the respective tasks directly from this app part and then can change the status of the task.

We have developed this by using html, jquery, csom script and rest api. We have also implemented three types of licencing module and those are 1.Free 2.Trial and 3.Full Version.

The full version is having facility to list out the pending tasks from cross site collection level

Weather Web Part

Developed a custom web part which is Weather web part and the requirement was to display the current weather condition including the next four days weather condition based on Yahoo weather services.

The web part have facilities which will check the current user location (i.e will get the location details of the user from user profile property) and displays the corresponding weather.

We have consumed the services and developed the custom web part to meet this requirement.

Configuration of People Search on SharePoint 2010 farm

Configured the people search on SharePoint 2010 server to enable the people search within the Organisation.

We had followed all the steps required for this like User Profile configuration, search service configuration, providing right set of permissions to the search administration account and lastly crawling the mysite url content source

Personal Time Off Workflow

Developed one State Machine Workflow to manage the Personal Time Off management.

The client had requirement to assign the request back to the requester if the leave approving manager wants to change the leave dates or if not happy with the number of days of leave.

In this workflow we had created four stages and they are 1.Requester Stage 2. Approval Stage 3. Change Request Stage 4. Final Stage

Document Approval Workflow

Developed a SPD workflow for document approval management.The flow of the process to be followed is as follows:

  • The specified users can start the requisite Workflow manually.
  • The user has to start the workflow once after adding/uploading the document
  • There is a approval group which is associated with the workflow.
  • Each member of the approval group will get an email notification about the approval
  • The workflow will create the task for each member associated with the approval group
  • During approval process, any edit of the document will reject and cancel the workflow.
  • The workflow will be rejected if any of the task will mark as Reject
  • The workflow will be approved once each member of the approval group will approve their respective task
  • After approval or rejection, all the members of the approval group including the requester will get email notification
RSS Feed web part

Developed custom RSS Feed web part which used show the RSS feed details from multiple sources. This web part is also having the configuration/setting page from where the user can select his/her feeds.

There are multiple category for the feeds like "Must to Subscribe", "Recommended", "External Sources", "Company Blog".

The web part used to save the choice or subscribed feeds of each user in User Profile Property.

We have also developed timer job which runs in hourly mode for getting all the feed details and save them in a specific list.

Ribbon web part

Developed the Ribbon web part and its mainly used in MySite. This web part is used to show each users personal images in Image Slider in Personal page of the user.

MySite users can visit each of their colleagues photo and can like and add comment as well.

Team Profile web part

Developed the team Image web part and main functionality of this web part is to show the profile photo of each user in grid manner.

This web part is mainly showing the user photo based on a specific audience group or based on specific project.

On click of the user image, the pop up window will show all the details of the user.

Also having facilities to navigate to the user's my site profile from this pop up window.

Language filter web part

Developed the blog slider app. This app used to show the blog details in jquery slider. Each blog is associated with an image and this app part used to show that image in slider and content of the blog as text content in the slider.

Each slider is having link to read the full blog. This app is having the custom properties from where the user can select the blog list name.

We have developed three versions of this app 1.free 2. trail and full version. The full version is having facilities for selecting multiple blog list and show them in slider

Check Out Document App

We have developed the Check Out Document app as app part so that it can be added to any specific site collection. We have developed this app mainly for SharePoint hosted environment.

This app used to show all the details of the checkout document of the logged in user. The app part is also having the configuration section from where the user can select the site name and document library and based on which this app will list our all the documents.

We have also implemented three types of licencing module 1.Free 2.Trial and 3.Full Version, The full version supports the cross site collection.

My Site Configuration on SharePoint 2010

We have configured the mysite for one of our customer.We had followed all the mentioned below steps to complete the mysite configuration on SP 2010 Environment

  • Make sure that the latest CU are installed on the server.
  • Started the User Profile Service Application
  • Started the User Profile Synchronization Service
  • Map the Picture property into the thumbnail of AD Property to import the User images from AD server
  • Started Full Synchronization of User Profile
  • Run the Power shell script for displaying the user picture ,which is Update-SPProfilePhotoStore -CreateThumbnailsForImportedPhotos 1 -MySiteHostLocation
  • Verified all the timer job related to Social Networking and starting them properly
  • Verified the Search service
